Abstrakt
The subject of the presented research was the use of the AE electroacoustic effect to determine the stresses in a wall made of AAC subjected to axial compression. The relationships linking the value of the compressive stresses with the velocity of the longitudinal ultrasonic wave, taking into account the AAC humidity, were used. The stress state was identified in 9 small models of masonry subjected to axial compression. It was shown that the average compressive stresses in the wall determined by the proposed method can be recognized with a satisfactory level of confidence up to the level of about 50% of the failure stresses. At higher stresses of 75% of the breaking stress, the results turned out to be significantly underestimated.
