Abstrakt

The paper presents the possibility of using the statistical methods automating the selection of explicatory variables for the daily peak demand of the National Power Grid in Poland. Predictions in ex-post were conducted for 10 predictors’ set and both for classical and Data Mining methods. The obtained matrix of ex-post predictions measures gives a chance for a primal selection of the best set and statistical method.
