Abstrakt

It is shown that if 3 ≤ n ≤ ∞ then the set of all decomposable subcontinua of I ⁿ is an Fσ-absorber in the Hilbert cube C(I ⁿ). Therefore the hyperspace of all indecomposable continua in the cube of dimension greater than 2 is home-omorphic to the separable Hilbert space l ₂. This answers a question from [3] by the author.
