Abstrakt
Mid-field kettle-ponds of northern Poland are still poorly known sedimentary environments. For several years a comprehensive study of kettle-ponds is being conducted in the Parseta catchment. In addition to the results presented here the study is also focused on morphometric, hydrological and hydrochemical aspects. The article seeks to characterise kettle-pond deposits on the basis of carbon stable isotopes, radiocarbon dating and loss-on-ignition studies. Our results confirm the thesis that the deposits in the kettle-ponds are chiefly contributed by material from their catchments.
