Panel slabs are a solution that appeared on world markets in the first half of the 21st century. The first elements manufactured in Poland were introduced over ten years later. Currently, these elements are indicated as the first choice by 8% of Polish designers. With the increased commercial interest, panel slabs are increasingly becoming elements of scientific research. They found a special place in Asia, where research is carried out in many areas to expand precast elements’ applications. The authors’ long-term research has shown the panels’ two-way work’s decisive features, resulting from the concrete overtopping and specially shaped shearkey. As a result, the deflections are reduced even by 70% compared to the simplified calculation methods used in practice. Panel slabs are the market’s response to economic changes in the domestic market in recent years.
