Abstrakt

The BEM technique of solving heat radiation in participating media in the presence of convection has been developed. BEM itself has been validated against other methods of solving heat radiation problems. The technique has been significantly accelerated by using separate, cartesian structured meshes and efficient ray tracing procedure. An algorithm of coupling the BEM solution with CFD solver has been developed and tested. Large scale problems involving combustion and phase change have been solved using this approach.
