Abstrakt

The paper presents briefly amendments which have been made to the IEC 60601-1-2:2014 standard as compared to its the previous revision. The paper outlines also the consequences that result from these amendments and affect designers of medical equipment and research laboratories. The study ends up with presentation of results from investigations carried out in line with the new revision of the IEC 60601-1-2:2014 standard and intended to detect which degree of immunity to radio frequency electromagnetic fields is achieved by typical electric medical devices.
