title = "On the influence of traffic autocorrelation on the queueing Performance",
abstract = "In this paper we present counterintuitive examples on the influence of strong, positive autocorrelation of network traffic on some of the queueing characteristics in network nodes. In particular, it is shown that the average queue size can sometimes be significantly shorter in the case of autocorrelated traffic than in the case of the uncorrelated one, even if the service time and load are the same in both cases.",
