Presented are the methods of organic peroxide esters synthesis. The most frequently used is the reaction of alkyl hydroperoxides with acid chlorides in the presence of aqueous alkali. Peroxide esters are the class of peroxy compounds used as promoters in a free radical reactions, e.g. in the polymerization an co-polymerization processes. They are also utilised as bleaching and oxidizing agents as well as pharmaceutical reagents and additives. Observed in the recent years construction of new plants for production of peroxide esters and the intensification of production in existing ones, proves the continous and increasing demand for these products.
