Abstrakt

In the paper the total transfer capacity (TTC) of Polish Power System cross-border transmission lines in the winter evening peak in 2015 horizon was determined. To calculate the power flow in the interconnected system the optimal power flow method was used. Some relationship between TTC and network constraints in Polish transmission grid was pointed out. Then various investment options, that can increase the cross-border capacity of Poland, were analyzed.
