Abstrakt

The paper presents the study results concerning thermal diffusivity and microstructural characteristics of the Ni(Co)CrAlY type of powders designed for the bond-coat spraying with the plasma method for TBC (thermal barrier coatings) obtained by the APS (air plasma spraying). Three types of powders with the following chemical composition Ni-23Co-17Cr-12.5Al-0.45Y, Co-32Ni-21Cr-8Al-0.5Y and Ni-22Cr-10Al-Y were subjected to analysis. The assessment of surface morphology and inner structure of powders was made. Chemical composition of the powders was determined. Phase composition by using XRD (X-ray diffraction) and EBSD (electron backscattered diffraction) methods was also analysed. The study performed showed that the analysed powders are predominantly characterized by a spherical shape with single deformed particles. Powder surface is characterised by high smoothness and no porosity. The chemical composition analysis showed high metallurgical purity of powder materials and uniform arrangement of alloy elements. The phase composition analysis with the XRD method and EBSD microanalysis confirmed the predominant part of Ni(Cr) and Ni3Al phase. The presence of chromium was also found. Measurements of thermal diffusivity of powders Ni(Co)CrAlY by a laser-flash method were included into another area of investigations and these investigations were carried out on the LFA 427 apparatus, of the Netzsch Company. Its value increased with rise in temperature up to approx. 1.2 mm2.s-1 at 1200°C. The Ni-22Cr-10Al-Y type powder was characterized by the highest value of that parameter, and powders with cobalt addition were characterized by the lowest value.
