Abstrakt

This chapter discusses bioengineering, which is concerned with many important problems applied to human body. The pelvic joint and its correct working is one of them. The pelvic bone is one of the most important supporting elements in human pelvic joint, but it is liable to suffer an injury. Very often before and after operations, the knowledge of the stress and strain distribution in the pelvic bone is needed. The safety of patient should be taken into account, as there are only two possibilities: model testing and numerical calculations. Before numerical calculations, the numerical model should be prepared. The geometrical properties and boundary conditions should map accurately. The material properties of bone tissue should be assumed from the beginning. In the chapter, the numerical model of human pelvic bone with layer structure is presented and the test of identification of the material coefficients of trabecular and cortical bone tissue (Young modulus and Poisson's ratio) on the ground of experimental data is also explained. For solving inverse problem, evolutionary algorithm is applied.
