Abstrakt

The paper deals with computer analysis of twofrequency induction hardening of gear wheels. The process consists of three following stages: initial medium frequency heating, final high frequency heating and then subsequent intensive cooling. All the stages must be carried out in a proper way. The paper includes calculation models and analysis of geometry and current intensity as well frequency influence on temperature distribution of the tooth surface in hardening. All calculations have been carried out by means of Flux3D simulation program. The article includes also helical gears heating analysis.
