How collaboration antecedents affect the resilience of local governance networks

The aim of this chapter is to examine and understand the impact of collaboration antecedents on the resilience of local governance networks. To achieve the above-mentioned goal, the desk research was conducted, and the questionnaire survey was also carried out in December 2019 among randomly selected Polish counties using the CAWI method. Stepwise regression analysis was used to examine the results obtained from the survey questionnaire. As a result, the collaboration antecedents and resilience dimensions were identified. It was found that collaboration antecedents affect adaptation and transformation, and in the case of coping, they are of limited importance. Such collaboration antecedents as existing relationships and previous experience are crucial in building the resilience of local governance networks. The results obtained prove that the absence of collaboration antecedents may contribute to a lack of network resilience.
