title = "Electromagnetic processing of solid bodies by induction",
abstract = "The paper deals with a short overview of advanced technological processes based on induction electromagnetic processing phenomenon in conductive environment elaborated in the Silesian University of Technology, Poland the second biggest Polish technical university A special emphasis was put on description of such the technologies which were practically implemented to the Polish industry during last several years. Advanced numerical calculation methods were used for coupled modeling of multi-physic phenomena. Then selected electromagnetic processing technologies like: induction heating of thin non-ferrous strips in transverse flux magnetic field, surface induction hardening of various steel elements, usage of radiofrequency ablation technology in medicine were described. Final conclusions were formulated and discussed.",
