Abstrakt

The paper describes non-expensive alternate solution for data concentrator of Modbus RTU network. For that purpose was applied popular microprocessor unit IPC@CHIP S12 made by BECK. All the data received from devices connected by Modbus RTU is sent trough the Ethernet interface in the form of UDP/IP frames. There is presented sample application, which was successfully implemented in one of power switching stations in Poland.
