Concept of a model database enabling data storage for purposes of investment attractiveness assessment of degraded post-mining areas

The article presents results of an initial part of research aimed at developing a tool supporting the process of strategy building for redevelopment of degraded post-mining areas. The paper describes the set of data necessary for the assessment of development options, identified based on the literature review as well as an analysis of administrative procedures and legal requirements connected with development of the areas in question. A relational data model has been proposed for the data defined, allowing for their storage using the tool created. Characteristics of entities identified in the areas examined along with their attributes have been provided. Using a proper diagram, relations between individual entities have been depicted. The solution proposed corresponds with a concept of smart regional development.
