abstract = "This paper describes a hybrid technique combining the Finite Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) and the Method of Moments (MoM) techniques to analyse complex electromagnetic problems involving thin-wire antennas radiating in the presence of inhomogeneous dielectric bodies of arbitrary shape. The method brings together the ability of the FDTD scheme to deal with arbitrary material properties, and the versatility of the MoM to accurately model curved thin-wire structures. To increase computational efficiency of the approach, the AWE adaptive technique, and the spatial interpolation of the electromagnetic field components on the Huygens' surface are employed.",
