Abstrakt

This paper presents a vector control system for induction motors used to drive the locomotive. The presented vector control systems belong to a class of control relating to the rotor flux vector - RFOC (rotor field oriented control). The developed control structures use slave control systems of stator current; hysteresis-based controllers. The necessary information for the proper operation of the rotor flux vector (its amplitude and angle) were obtained using a rotor flux estimator, based on a mathematical model of squirrel cage motor (rotor circuit equations). The proposed system is characterized by a relatively simple construction giving good dynamic properties. The results of the numerical experiments which are presented in the paper confirm this. These models make it possible to determine the load of drive system for various vehicle dynamic states (startup, steady-state operation) depending on the locomotive load.
