Abstrakt
Trends in waste generation show an increase in the volumes of waste produced in most countries and it is clear that the trend will continue. It is a challenge to reduce the increasing flow of waste due to limited resources, ever increasing population, and rapid urbanisation and industrialisation worldwide. Rational waste management is one of the most serious problems of modern civilization. It should be based mainly on the minimization of the amount of the produced wastes, their recovery and reuse. In modern world it is impossible to prevent the production of biodegradable wastes. However, these wastes can be rationally reused, in accordance with the widely understood environment protection. The work present results of physicochemical, fertilizing properties and utilization potentials of card boards and textiles of natural origin in agriculture. The results of the performed tests were compared with physicochemical and fertilizing properties of the compost. Tests were performed in the light of the possibility to use a mix of wastes and compost as a base for plant adaptation.
