Abstrakt

Let p be a prime integer and let M_p be a free metabelian group of rank p. In the paper an automorphism α of order p permuting cyclically fixed bases of M_p is studied. The subgroup of fixed points of α and the properties of action of α on the commutator subgroup of M_p are described. There are also given some results concerning such automorphisms of free abelian groups of rank p.
