Abstrakt

Packaging waste are one of fastest growing waste streams. Trends in waste generation show an increase in the volumes of waste produced in most countries and it is clear that the trend will continue. Currently, the management of packaging waste represents a major economic and environmental issue throughout the world. Therefore, the proper management, treatment and disposal of packaging waste becomes a pressing problem and a major environmental concern. Due to the fact that, the amount of generated packaging waste, is growing year by year, this work is connected with packaging waste recycling in Poland and also discusses required and achieved levels packaging waste recycling.
