Abstract
Nowadays in many Polish power plants old exhaust fans have to be exchanged. It is the consequence of modernization processes which change resistance in pipelines. There are also requirements of high efficiency for different power generation unit loads. This paper presents new construction of centrifugal fan, operating in ENEA Wytwarzanie S.A. (Kozienice power plant). Tests carried out by ENERGOPOMIAR Gliwice on generation unit no. 6 revealed very high efficiency on average level about 89 %. In addition to the above tests, energy savings were also calculated in comparison to old fans.
