Abstract

Prediction of the energy consumption and heat demand in a building is important both at the design stage as well as during the following period of building exploitation. Designed heat demand is usually much higher than real consumption. The work concerns the problem of the internal heat gains which are one of the most important factors influencing the energy consumption in the building. The multivariant analysis of the impact of internal heat gains on the heat balance in the public building was performed using the simulation methods The two-storey school building was selected as the object of investigation. Numerical model and the computer simulations were done by means of the ESP-r software. Based on the simulation results the analysis of the energy consumption was performed for the different variants of the internal heat gains.
