Abstract

The paper presents a concept of image colourfulness and points to its applications in colour image processing. The results of research on properties of image colourfulness are presented in the context of image processing and also image acquisition. These results concern the image colourfulness dependence on type of digital still camera (DSC), chosen colour space and exposition parameters.
