Abstract
This paper presents a co-simulation FEM of induction heating of gears. The co-simulation was made in ANSYS used a circuit model (resonant inverter with MOSFET SiC transistors) and FEM model (coil and gear). The circuit model was built in a bridge structure of inverter with a series-parallel resonant circuit. The output power of inverter was 3 kW and the drain efficiency was equal to 96%. The co-simulation of models was made for three alloy steel of gear: C45, 41Cr4 and 42CrMo4, and three type of induction heating of gear: medium- (MF), high- (HF) and simultaneous dual-frequency (2F). Additionally, in this paper presents a distribution of magnetic induction in the gear, energy density in the gear, the characteristics of energy density in a single tooth on the length 8 mm and the temperature of tooth tip for three type of induction heating.
