Abstract
This paper presents the application of a wheeled vehicle based on a hybrid propulsion system. It describes the structure of a control system and the communication between different units of the propulsion system, the intermediary devices and the fundamental issues of building such a network. The virtual propulsion of the hybrid drive of a wheeled vehicle was designed for the sake of a parallel structure connection of the drive units. This enabled the propulsion system work more efficiently through the synergy of energy units - the ICE and an electric motor, and allowed the ICE unit to be turned off in built-up areas. The presented results of research can be seen as a great contribution to the work of the propulsion system with an internal combustion engine, which not only drives the electric generator, but also a wheeled vehicle.
