Abstract

TNC controller is a microprocessor-based device that allows computers to communicate using Packet Radio network. It converts the format of data sent from the computer via the serial port and therefore it may be viewed as a model of protocol converter. An interesting property of TNC is possibility of easy adjustment of transmission parameters. In the paper, the measured influence of these parameters upon transmission speed is shown.
