Transformations preserving nonsingularity, trace and spectrum of matrices

Abstract

Aim of this paper is a discussion of certain transformations of matrices preserving either nonsingularity or trace or at last the point spectrum of the given real or complex matrix. Transformations of matrices discussed here are considered with respect to the possible applications of numerical methods, including the adaptation of obtained results for testing numerical algorithms, especially with regard to their numerical stability.
