Abstract
The paper presents results of the influence of preliminary surface preparation on the topography and thickness of the passive layer formed on the surface of Ti6Al4V alloy. Pre-treatment of surface treatments include combination of mechanical and electrochemical processes. Anodic oxidation was carried out at various values of potential. Thickness, roughness and autocorrelation length of the analyzed layers were tested by means of the following methods: ellipsometry, BRDF, ball integrator and an optical profilometer.
