Abstract

The paper presents some preliminary results of studies carried out in the Gliwice TL Lab. A set of 10 samples of mineral grains separated from natural sediments of different age and origin was investigated in order to find whether the optical bleaching used for reducing NTL causes the change of thermoluminescence sensitivity. The laboratory bleaching was performed using natural sunlight and artifical light from the mercury lamp. Additional results completed during the TL dating by the regeneration method are also included. In most cases the changes in sensitivity are not significant.
