The radiocarbon dating of subfossil wood from the bars of the Gardno- Leba Lowland.

The paper presents the results of radiocarbon dating carried out on 10 wood samples from the area of the Gardno-Leba Lowland. 1) For beach biogenic sediments of the Sarbsko Bar the datings show that the destruction of oak forest occurred in the 9th century. 2) For the central part of the Leba Bar, the radiocarbon datings fully confirm historical facts (among others, intensified economic activity at the beginning of the 17th century caused dune movement. 3) The dating of oak trunks on the Gardno Bar have pointed out to unequal decay of oak forests over this area from Bronze age times onward.-after Authors
