Abstract

The paper presents main assumptions for functional-operational configuration of tasks in transport projects (FOCT). The assumptions include a variety of decision problems related to shaping transport systems, decisions of transport users, and traffic flows in urban transportation network. The following issues were characterized, i.e.: area of urban agglomerations and traffic zones, urban transportation systems, activity and transport needs of users of urban area, traffic control and management using ITS systems, mobility management using sustainable urban mobility plans, functional improvement of transport systems in the scope of transport services. The formal description of functional-operational configuration of tasks in transport projects (FOCT) was discussed.
