The Influence of Conductor Sag on the Self and Mutual Impedance of an Overhead Power

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The paper presents the influence of the geometrical arrangement of phase and shielding conductors on their self and mutual impedances in a model of an overhead power line span. The interactions between adjacent circuits in multi-circuit lines with arbitrary conductor configurations are taken into account. It is assumed that both phase and shielding conductors may be of different types, and that the current magnitudes in individual circuits may differ significantly. All environmental parameters and operating conditions of the line are represented by the resultant conductor sags.
