Abstract
The article presents research on the corrosion rate of reinforcement in concrete with varying urea content added to a concrete mix based on CEM II A-M (S-LL) 52.5R cement (Portland multi-component slaglime cement with high early strength) recommended for aggressive freezing conditions. After laying the concrete mix, the corrosion rate of the reinforcement was significant, but gradually decreased, reaching a level of insignificant corrosion after about 20 days, regardless of the urea content in the concrete. Repeated corrosion rate tests after 3 years confirmed that urea had no effect on the corrosion of the reinforcement.
