The course of restructuring of the polish hard coal industry in 1998 to 2001

Abstract

The article presents the course of implementation in 1998-2001 of government programme called "Roform of the hard coal industry in Poland in 1998-2002" accepted by the Council of Ministers on 30 June 1998. It discusses assumptions and general as well as partial objectives of the programme's realisation. The authors discuss in detail the legal instrument supporting the realisation of the programme of the hard coal industry's reform that is the Act of 26 November 1998 on adjustment of hard coal industry to functioning in conditions of a free market economy and special powers and rights of mining communities.
