Abstract
The article presents the calculations of the micro-cogeneration unit based on beta Stirling engine combined with thermal energy storage. The heat accumulation technologies and materials are briefly described. The mathematical model of the engine and assumption about its possible regulation allowed to determine three operating modes. It was adopted to analysis for as heat source for a 266 m2 detached house. Analysis was performed for four reference days with various average daily ambient temperature, which differ significantly with the heat demand. The heat demand profiles were determined ex-perimentally. The analysis concerned three different operation strategies, which all of them were following the thermal load. The overall operating efficiency varied in the range of 89.9 – 92.0%.
