Abstract

For the first part, see Engineering Index, Jan 1975 Monthly, p 97, Abstract No. 001259. In this second part concerned with optimal and suboptimal tracking problems, a certain quite general form of a functional involving costs of tracking errors as well as control costs is assumed as a performance index. It is shown that for the class of systems considered there exists a uniquely defined optimal control.
