Abstract
Today many intensive actions are taken in order to replace lighting installations based on fluorescent lamps with solutions that make use of LEDs. Thanks to high luminous efficiency (over 160lm/W) and lifetime exceeding 50,000 hours (with the still acceptable remaining luminous flux) they are the most energy saving and long lasting lighting systems. However, in the case of LED lamps directly supplied from the 230VAC network (eg. LED bulbs with the E14 or E27 base) the problem is more complicated. In order to satisfy the binding standards and specific technical specifications dedicated supply systems are necessary that are not met in other applications. One of such systems is the sequential supply system for LED modules, described in this paper.
