Some (counter)examples on totally positive Riordan arrays

Abstract

We consider a recent result which claims that if the series d(t) and h(t) are Pólya frequency formal power series, then the Riordan array (d(t),h(t)) is totally positive. Namely, we pose and answer the question if the various types of the converse of this claim are also true.
