Abstract
Shaping workplace safety is determined by the organization of work in a way that does not endanger the employee during its performance. It consists of such aspects as occupational risk assessment and determination of the work-load, as well as its impact on the employee. At workstations in the metallurgical industry, activities are performed in conditions harmful to health, hence the article presents the results of the workload assessment related to the phys-ical load on employees at selected workplaces in the metallurgical industry. The occupational risk was also esti-mated and corrective actions were indicated to increase work safety.
