Abstract
The typical feature of the micro-macro soHdification model (the second generation model) is the special way of internal heat source modelling. In order to estimate the kinetics of solidification the nucleation and nuclei growth processes are analyzed. Next on the basis of Mehl-Johnson-Avrami-Kolmogorov theory the source term is constructed. In the paper the sensitivity analysis of pure metal solidification with respect to the number of nuclei N and growth coefficient μ is presented. The basic problem and additional ones connected with the sensitivity analysis are solved using the boundary element method. In the final part the results of computations are shown.
