Abstract

This paper presents some possible ways to analyze and the influence of nonlinear characteristics on the dynamics and effectiveness of energy harvesting systems. Examples of tools such as the Lyapunov exponent, Poincaré sections, Impulse Excitation Diagram, and others are presented. Analysis of the impact of nonlinearity is helpful in designing and tuning such systems. In particular, the focus is on methods of imaging, describing and identifying chaotic and periodic motion zones and coexisting solutions.
