Abstract
The application of a continuous regime in mass crystallization of L-sorbose from water solutions with addition of methanol or/and ethanol is studied. The influences of methanol and/or ethanol concentrations, as well as mean residence time of suspension in a crystallizer working volume, on product crystal size distributions are examined. The kinetic parameter values in nucleation and growth rate equations are established. Secondary nucleation effects in circulated suspension are elucidated.
