Abstract
There are two possibilities of reinforcing aluminium alloys i.e. explosive cladding and adding of reinforcing phase (RP) e.g. SIC. In the first case a density of treated material has been obtained and results in an increase of hardness and a reduction of plasticity. In the latter case any reinforcing participles are added to reduce a difference of hardness between alloy and anodised hard coat. Stereological features of reinforcing phase influence on tribological properties of superficial layer. For the purpose of theoretical analysis it has been assumed reinforcing phase of participles are equally distributed into reinforced alloy.
