Abstract

The assumed quality ratio of the inverter output signal should enable to characterize the PWM modulator properties. Typically used the THD ratio of the load waveforms depend on the type of the load and on the output filter parameters. The analysis of THD or WTHD ratios of the output PWM-AC voltage signal used separately delivers the insufficient information. The introduced LHD ratio describes the distortions of the sinusoidal envelope of the output signal, while THD depends mainly on the higher order harmonics. The theoretical comparison and the breadboard verification of THD/LHD ratios pair of the inverter are presented.
