Abstract
The paper presents the design and validation of a control algorithm for an induction heating system with a half-bridge inverter, using Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) simulation and the LaunchXL-F280049C hardware platform. The proposed PI controller ensures accurate control of the inverter supply current and is characterized by a dynamic response to setpoint changes. The PIL simulation results were experimentally confirmed through voltage and current waveform measurements at the inverter output, as well as through effective heating of a graphite crucible load.
