Abstract
Heating the air is one of the basic air conditioning processes. There can be no properly functioning ventilation unit without a functioning heater. To warm air heaters can be used steam, electric, gas and most popular water heaters. Strong pressure on energy saving in all areas of the operation of the building meant that the operation of the air heater in mechanical ventilation systems are subject to frequent evaluation. This paper presents the problem of diagnostic measurements of air heaters. In the description of the problems encountered when determining the instantaneous power heater was used in the research carried out in the real objects equipped with air handling and air conditioning. A large variety of subjects allowed for the study of objects of different sizes heaters and different layouts. Presenting the measurements highlighted the difficulties encountered, for example, the location of the probes and measuring instruments used.
