Abstract

Stabilography is a non-invasive diagnostic method used to analyze human postural stability and to quantify it using some parameters, such as length of the trajectory, maximal range of movement along x or y direction, movement area. This paper presents an attempt to characterize human postural stability with using wavelet transform. The use of wavelet transform opens the possibility for defining new parameters that describe postural stability.
