Abstract
This article presents the measurements of the thermal power of the microcogeneration unit. The device is located at the Institute of Power Engineering and Turbomachinery of the Silesian University of Technolo-gy. The unit’s operation for modulated heat demand was described. Two configurations of the device’s operation are considered: cogeneration (using the Stirling engine) and thermal system, when only the auxiliary boiler is on. The microcogeneration unit was investigated within the range 0-17 kWth of the heat demand. The minimum oper-ating load and the thermal power characteristics within analyzed range were presented.
